The Swift Current City RCMP have closed the book on a pair of break-and-enter reports from earlier this month.

Sometime overnight on April 4 a garage and shed on different properties along Dahl Street had been broken into with the City detachment being notified of both instances on the morning of April 5.

A vehicle parked in the garage had been rummaged through with minor items taken. The shed had an electric bike stolen.

The bike was discovered the next day and returned to the owner. According to the victim the frame, wheels, and handlebars were intact, but everything else on the bike was either stolen or broken, including its lines being cut.

The City RCMP said in both cases there were no witnesses or suspects and because nothing has been uncovered that could help in the investigation, they've closed the file.

If some information on either of the reports is brought forward to the City RCMP, they will look back into the matter.
