Warner Industries in Swift Current held its official grand opening yesterday.

Work on the bright new facility began about 2 years ago and came in at just under $3 million dollars.

Branch Manager Greg Friesen says it was a great opportunity to showcase their staff and operations.

“We’re a full Freightliner dealer, that’s our main gig here is Freightliner trucks, but we do sell grain trailers, we have Degelman farm equipment, we have utility trailers and also we fix trucks, we sell parts and we’ve got a full-service wash too, so we are kind of one-stop shop for a lot of things here,” Friesen said.

He notes with the bumper harvest this year their leasing option was extremely popular with producers.

Roger Pettigrew is General Manager for the Warner Industries Group and says their proud to be a part of the region and to re-investment in the area.

“We are selling rock pickers out of here; we’re selling utility trailers, grain trailers. People can come in and it’s the whole experience of coming into a professional organization (when) you come in here,” Pettigrew said.

Pettigrew says Swift Current is a key operation noting that the Warner group now has 7 facilities in Manitoba and Saskatchewan and is currently working on setting up an operation in Saskatoon.
