Saskatchewan's dip in active cases of COVID-19 was halted Saturday afternoon with the provincial health authority's announcement that six new cases have been reported, matching another six recoveries.

The Sask Health Authority's daily update noted the six new cases include three confirmed and three presumptive. That includes the individuals who tested positive in the La Loche area long-term care centre yesterday.

There have now been 313 overall reported cases.

With the recovery total also now up to 234, and no change in the death toll (four) since last Saturday, that results in once again having 75 active cases around the province.

Two of those cases remain in the south region of the province, where the overall reported case total remains at 15.

There are also now five people who are in hospital dealing with the virus - one is in the ICU, while the other four are receiving inpatient care.

Currently, 29 of the 313 cases have had unknown exposures, while 18 remain under investigation.

The SHA's recently-altered age ranges note the following case totals:

<19 years old – 23 cases,
20-39 y/o – 114 cases,
40-59 y/o – 105 cases,
60-79 y/o – 63 cases,
80+ y/o – eight cases.

The Sask Health Authority has now performed 23,092 tests for COVID-19 province-wide.
