It's been quiet at the Lyric Theatre, and almost everywhere else, as the global COVID-19 pandemic has forced the theatre to suspend its programming and postpone events including Open Stage, Youth Talent Night, Write Out Loud, the Sparks in the Dark Series and the Great Southwest Shakespeare Festival.

On Thursday Gordon McCall, the Artistic Director of the Lyric Theatre posted an update on its Facebook page to give an update on how things are still running there, including plans to bring some of their popular programs online and present a "Sunshine Season" of performances after things open up again, as well as an update on fundraising.

The online events will begin this weekend with "Write Out Loud", featuring five Saskatchewan authors, on Saturday evening at 8:00pm on the Lyric Theatre's Facebook page and on YouTube!
