Swift Current residents may have spotted a few articles of clothing suspended around the city.

The City of Swift Current is working alongside the Red Dress Awareness Southwest organization to raise awareness for Red Dress Day tomorrow, May 4.

Red Dress Day honours Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit People. By hanging the dresses around various public spaces, parks, and institutions, they serve as a vivid reminder of these lost lives and individuals.

The Swift Current Library will be hosting a Red Dress Day event tomorrow at 1 p.m. It will include a presentation and a beading workshop.
