We may soon have a competition on our hands.

Another two people have entered the race.

Trevor Koot, a local real estate agent, filed his papers Tuesday. And yesterday, Councilor Jerrod Shafer, decided to have another go at City Hall.

Shafer recently negotiated a deal on behalf of Council for the $13.6 million upgrade to the Civic Centre.

Also in the race so far, are Gord Budd and Tim Keene for Councilor positions, with a bid made by Sandy Larson to return as Mayor.

To be considered for council you need to be 18 years of age, a Canadian citizen, have lived in Saskatchewan for six months and have lived in Swift Current for three months.

Nominations will be taken until September 27th.

The big vote happens on October 25th.
