The Shaunavon Food Bank says donations have been coming in steadily and they are able to serve anyone needing assistance in the southwest.

Larry Hughes is the President of The Shaunavon Food Bank. He said, "We just want to make sure that there isn't anybody who is scared to make use of The Food Bank who is in need of it. If there's any reason that they're feeling hesitant, they don't want to leave their house, whatever, give us a call and let us know. There's someway we'd be able to get food to them."

Hughes says that they've even been helping out residents in other southwest communities.

At present, what the Food Bank is looking for is donations of pasta and sauces.

The local Food Bank recently received a $500 donation of food products from The Shaunavon Co Op  Marketplace Food Store.

Every time Pioneer Co Op customers use their own re-usable grocery bags, three cents is allocated to the Pioneer Co Op Green Spaces Fund, and the $500 was what has been raised at the Shaunavon location.
