Students across the province will be missing out on extra curriculars over the four school days leading up to the Easter break.

The latest STF release notified the public this morning of the upcoming job action which includes withdrawal of noon-hour supervision on Monday for the Holy Trinity Catholic School Division.

In the release, STF President Samantha Becotte said they would halt sanctions immediately if the government would agree to binding arbitration on the single issue of class size and complexity.

"For weeks we have made it clear that job action would escalate if government continued its refusal to negotiate or agree to binding arbitration on class size and complexity – the issue that is most important to teachers," she said. "[This job action] demonstrates that teachers remain steadfast in their call for sustainable funding for prekindergarten to Grade 12 education."

This is the longest job action ever by Saskatchewan teachers.
