Day two of the CCA Finals Rodeo in Swift Current has now come and gone.

In the Bareback event, Jason Hofer won the top spot in the second event with a score of 80.5.

The victory moved Hofer into second place after two days with 40 total points.

Monty Koopman currently leads the Bareback event with 45 points.

Laura Stokes finished first in Barrel Racing with a time of 12.71, putting her in second place through two days with 40 points.

The current leader in Barrel Racing is Bertina Olafson with 70 points.

Wyatt Thurston and Kole Ashbacher each scored 77 points to tie for the top spot in Saddle Bronc, putting them into a tie for second place with 35 points, while Adam Gilchrist sits atop the leaderboard with 50 total points.

A time of 4.6 seconds earned Devon Porter 40 points in Steer Wrestling, as he now sits tied with George Wheeler for second at 40 points each. Scott Sifgusson holds the lead with 50 points.

The team of Kyle and Brady Chapel won the Team Roping with a time of 5.9 seconds, giving them the two-day lead with 40 points.

The top spot in Tie Down Roping also belongs to Sifgusson who posted a time of 9.6 seconds on Thursday.

Sigfusson now has 80 total points through two days in Tie Down Roping.

In the junior action, Blake Smith finished first in Junior Bull Riding with a score of 71 on Thursday, two points ahead of Ty Murphy, who came in second.

With 60 accumulated points, Smith is holding down first place.

Laramie Lockie dashed her way to top spot in Junior Girls Barrel Racing with a time of 12.83, just ahead of Karla Cowie's 12.96.

Despite Lockie's and Cowie's runs, they still trail overall leader Logan Resch, who has 50 points in the first two days.

The CCA Finals Rodeo will once again resume on Friday from the Credit Union iPlex at 1:00pm and 7:00pm.
