Once more the number of new cases of COVID-10 mirrored that of the new recoveries in the province.

The Sask Health Authority announced eight new cases of the virus in the province, along with eight more recoveries after an announcement of 10 in both categories on Friday.

Seven of the eight cases are in the far north region, which has been hit hard the past several days. The region now has 32 active cases - the most in the province.

Meanwhile there once again are no new reported cases in the south region of the province. The region has had 15 cases since April 5, and still sits at one active case.

Overall there have now been 349 reported cases, with 57 considered active around the province.

The recovery total is approaching the 300 mark as well and currently sits at 288 as of Saturday afternoon.

A total of 29 cases have now been reported in individuals 19-and-under, 125 cases have been in the 20-39 age range, another 118 have been in the 40-59 range, 66 cases are in the 60-79 age range, and 11 have been in residents 80-and-up.

A total of 27,232 tests for the coronavirus have been performed around Saskatchewan.
