The Lorretta Hughes Memorial Community Garden has been a great success in Shaunavon and residents are ready to start another season of planting and growing.

With the coronavirus front and center in all we do today, the Community Garden has had to implement some special criteria this year.

Peggy Griffin is one the managers of the garden and explains the restrictions, "Basically the same as anywhere else. If you're sick, don't enter the garden. If you do enter the garden, there has to be at least one garden space between people."

Gardeners will also be required to wear protective covering on their hands while working in the garden.

The Community Garden has 28 plots, which have all been spoken for already for the season.

Plots are ten dollars each per season and all money raised goes to the garden's upkeep.
