The Saskatchewan Health Authority is reminding all residents that the fear of COVID-19 should not keep you from getting the medical attention you need.

And if you have a chronic disease or other existing health condition, regular health care is just as important now as it was before COVID-19.

For urgent and emergent medical concerns you should still go to a hospital emergency department or call 9-1-1.

If your condition does not require emergency care, it's still important and many family physician practices and walk-in clinics across the province are open and seeing patients.

The SHA says to rest assured that health care centers, including private physician practices, walk-in clinics and hospitals are ensuring your continued safety.

Proper Personal Protective Equipment, patient screening, frequent hand washing and strict cleaning and disinfecting procedures are in place at all locations and physical distancing will occur in all waiting areas.

The SHA says that if you feel unwell and think you require medical care don't wait.
