The number of recoveries nearly kept up with the number of new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Saskatchewan Health Authority's Sunday edition of their daily update on the pandemic.

The SHA announced 11 new confirmed cases of the virus, along with nine recoveries.

The 11 cases are mostly in the far north. The region is home to nine of those cases. The other two are in the north region.

There have now been 564 reported cases in the province. With another nine recoveries, there have now been 349 as of May 10. That spells an active case total of 209 in Saskatchewan.

For the second straight day as well, the number of residents in hospital decreased. The total went from 19 on Friday to 15 on Saturday. That number is now at a dozen. Four are in the ICU in Saskatoon, with the other eight receiving inpatient care in both Saskatoon and the north region.

A total of 36,860 COVID-19 tests have now been performed in Saskatchewan.
