Saskatchewan’s Trade and Export Partnership is hosting a mission this week to Hanover, Germany for Agritechnica.

Over 90 delegates from 29 different agricultural manufacturers, industry associations and agencies in Saskatchewan are taking part in the world’s largest agricultural trade show.

STEP’s CEO Chris Dekker says the Saskatchewan Ag Manufacturers group includes Honeybee Manufacturing, Morris Industries, Bourgeault Tillage Tools and more, noting they’re hoping it could result in up to $80 million in sales agreements for our manufacturers.

Cabri area farmer Kevin Hursh didn’t go the show this year but has been there before and says it’s mind-boggling:

"Often we have the idea that European agriculture is small and this is all going to be small equipment," he said. "Well much of this is large scale equipment that rivals anything you'd see here, but everything from drones to huge 4h harvesters to ethanol equipment, to vegetable harvesting equipment, to the latest to precision agriculture."

Agritechnica wraps up on Tuesday, November 21.
