The Saskatchewan Goat Breeders Association held their Summer Extravaganza this weekend in Moose Jaw.

Sunday was the goat sale which featured some top quality breeding stock.

The high-selling animal was a purebred boer buck kid which sold for $1,350 dollars and was consigned by Kerry O’Donnell from Kae Ronne Goats at Calder, Saskatchewan.

"My high-selling buck at the sale today was the junior champion under three of the judges, a grand champion under one of the judges and a reserve under another one," said O'Donnell.

Drew Czerwonka of Glenavon had his eye on that buck from the beginning.

"I actually just saw it on Facebook that they were having a sale, and he just kind of stuck out to me. He's got a lot of bone to him, and it's kind of what we've been looking for. So came down and I think I only bid once and ended up with him."

Czerwonka has about 45 commercial does and one buck and was looking for another buck to add to his herd and liked what he saw. He also picked up a purebred boer doe from Calico Creek.
