There was a record crowd yesterday for the West Central Ag Outlook in Kindersley.

One of the keynote speakers was Jonathan Driedger a Senior Market Analyst with Farmlink Marketing Solutions.

He says when it comes to the Canola market we’ve had really good demand with crush and exports:

"In the case of Canola even going forward again we don't know exactly how this coming year will play out we will probably see record large acres of Canola which probably backs into record large crop once again depending on yields but

again certainly, we will not have an abundance of Canola going into the next crop year, and there is also good demand as well so all of that helps provide a bit of underlying support and influence to the market even if we have a very

large crop," Driedger said.

He notes the wheat market is more challenging with the global supply after multiple years of record wheat crops globally.

One of the biggest marketing challenges will be durum just because of the huge ending stocks we have from this past year.
