The Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities opens it mid-term convention today in Regina.

President Ray Orb says there's a lot of business to be done over the next two days with the group hearing from a variety of keynote speakers.

The keynote speakers will talk about a number of topics including Canadian and International Trade Agreements, severe weather in Saskatchewan, STARS, Landfills and Incinerators water security agency will talk about drainage Regulations and the Province’s Minister of Health Jim Reiter will address the group agency. 

SARM delegates will also tackle some resolutions ranging from tax issues to ask tel cell service, species at risk policies, noxious weeds, grain transportation and spring road bans.
