Farmers, who have been waiting for Saskatchewan’s Guide to Crop Protection to come out, can now stop in at any of the Ministry’s Rural Service Centre.

Crop Management Specialist Shannon Friesen says there’s a variety of key information in the book that makes it a key tool for producers.

"It does go through weed control, disease, insects, seed treatments as well as grain storage chemicals," Friesen said. "In addition, it does also highlight certain aspects of integrated pest management, herbicide resistance and more."

She also said while it has been available online, the books are finally here.

"So they finally arrived this week, so producers are able to pick them up either at their regional offices with Sask agriculture or through their local rentals as well," Friesen added.

She notes there’s some new formatting with the new book so hopefully, it’s easier for producers to follow.
