Canada’s Farm Progress Show is celebrating 40 years of success.

Show Chair Rene Carpentier says of the 700 plus exhibitors on the grounds today, 34 of them have been at the show since the start.

The show is known around the world for showcasing the latest in agricultural technology and innovation.

He notes this year over 800 people are attending the show from 65 different countries including new areas like Vietnam and the Ivory Coast of Africa:

"It's actually a great thing that we're able to bring the world to Canada and to allow our manufacturers to be able to show off their equipment, innovations, ideas, and their farming practices so that the world can learn from us - and vice versa," he said.

He notes last year exhibitors reported over $500 million in sales as a result of the show.

Canada’s Farm Progress Show runs today thru Friday.
