It was a tough night on the road for the Swift Current 57's as they fell 13-1 to the Medicine Hat Mavericks for their third straight loss Monday night at Athletic Park.

Tejean Smith scored an RBI single to score Logan Stockton in the eighth inning for Swift Current's lone run of the game. Nathaniel Ewing hit a two-run home run for Medicine Hat as part of a 5-RBI night and Braden Desonia, Kellen Williamson and David Dell drove in a pair of runs each.

Grayden Stauffer took the loss on the mound, allowing six earned runs and five hits in just three innings of work. Hunter Cooper struck out nine Swift Current batters over six innings as he got the win for the Mavericks.

The 57's fall to 13-10 and are now three games back of the East Division-leading Moose Jaw Miller Express, whom they face in the Friendly City on Tuesday night.
