The Swift Current 57's lost their fourth game in a row and fell below the .500 mark after a wild 20-12 loss to the Edmonton Prospects in Sherwood Park on Wednesday night.

The game was tied at four going into the bottom of the sixth inning, but the Prospects put up four runs in the sixth and nine runs in the 7th to pull away.

Logan Stockton and Cory Bonstrom had three RBI each, with Bonstrom driving in his three runs on a bases-clearing double in the sixth inning, and Stockton driving in two runs on a single in the eighth and one more on a sacrifice fly in the ninth. Thomas Collins, Logan Grant and Dylan Coty also had an RBI each.

Starter Izaiah Ayalah struck out six batters and allowed four runs on five hits in 4.2 innings. Patrick Tangen took the loss in relief as the 57's used six pitchers in the game. Archer Blumenschein got the win for Edmonton.

The 57's fall to 15-16 and are 5.5 games back of the East Division leading Moose Jaw Miller Express, who lost 5-2 to Lethbridge in other WCBL action for their second loss in a row. Regina blanked Medicine Hat 7-0 to put them 1.5 games ahead of Swift Current for second.

The 57's will make the long bus trip to Fort McMurray to start a two-game series with the Giants tonight.
