The Swift Current 57's trailed 6-0 after the first inning and couldn't recover in a 10-2 loss to the Moose Jaw Miller Express on Wednesday night at Ross Wells Park.

Mathew Ward and Logan Stockton hit solo home runs for Swift Current's only runs of the game, and Owen Stevenson also went 2-for-4 on the night. Zach Campbell and Bryan Reyes drove in a pair of runs each for Moose Jaw.

Alexander Fijal allowed five hits, six earned runs and six walks over five innings to take the loss on the mound, and Cameron Dunn got the win for the Millers.

The third-place 57's fall to 27-26 and fall out of contention for the division lead, trailing the Millers and the Regina Red Sox by 4.5 games with three games left in the regular season. Regina beat Weyburn 12-0 to stay in a tie with Moose Jaw for first in the East Division.

Swift Current takes on the Red Sox on Friday night in the Queen City before wrapping up the regular season at home with a doubleheader against the Weyburn Beavers on Saturday.
