Ethan Menard's lead-off home run in the top of the ninth inning lifted the Saskatoon Berries to a 3-2 win over the Swift Current 57's Friday night at Mitchell Field.

Brody Alexandre scored on a wild pitch to give the 57's a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth before Landon Nunes came home on a wild pitch in the fifth to tie up the game. Demetrio Archuleta hit a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth for his third homer of the season to put Swift Current up 2-1, but Carter Beck responded with a solo shot for Saskatoon to tie the game in the eighth before Menard's blast to wrap up the scoring.

Kenny Jinks struck out three and allowed three hits and one earned run over seven innings and Jaylen Gutierrez took the loss in relief. Saskatoon starter Wyatt Wiatrek threw eight strikeouts over six innings with Carter Kopp getting credit for the win and Tyler Davis picking up the save.

The 57's (3-11) travel to Brooks, Alberta, for a pair of games against the Bombers Saturday and Sunday.
