The Swift Current 57's have found their next head coach and general manager.
Jason Veyna will fill both the positions, moving to a team he's coached and played against for four seasons since 2011.
The Colorado product is the current coach of the Trinidad State Trojans and former Regina Red Sox skipper (2019/2022).
He helped guide the Red Sox to back-to-back WCBL finals appearances in 2018 as an assistant coach and in 2019 as a manager.
"I look forward to the new opportunity with the 57's winning history and I’m grateful to be working with an experienced staff," he said in a press release the 57's posted on social media. "We have great local talent at our nucleus and I’ve already begun recruiting a few high-talent signees who are in the process of signing player contracts."
In Veyna's lone season as a player in the WCBL with the Red Sox, he won a title in 2011.
The 57's stated they'll announce the rest of their staff at a later date. However, they did post a thank you on Twitter, to Keith Herring who filled in as interim head coach after the team let Tim Brown go in late June.
