The Swift Current 57's road woes continued as they suffered their fifth straight loss in a 7-1 decision to the Fort McMurray Giants on Thursday night.

Swift Current was limited to four team hits in the game, including an RBI single by Tejean Smith in the seventh inning that brought in Mathew Ward for the 57's only run.

Kenny Jinks, in his first start since throwing a complete game shutout last week in Medicine Hat, struck out nine batters and allowed eight hits and five earned runs as he took the loss on the mound. Jackson Hohensee struck out four over six shutout innings to get the win for Fort McMurray.

The loss drops Swift Current to 15-17 and they sit in third place in the WCBL's East Division, six games back of the first-place Moose Jaw Miller Express.

The 57's and Giants play the rematch Friday night in Fort McMurray.
