The Swift Current 57's suffered their fifth-straight loss as they fell 7-6 to the Regina Red Sox in 11 innings on the road Wednesday night.

The 57's built a 3-1 lead by the fourth inning as Tejean Smith scored on a single by Brody Alexandre, who later scored on a Logan Stockton single. Stockton then scored on a balk called on Regina pitcher Jonathon Henry. The Red Sox took the lead with three runs in the sixth, but Stockton scored on a groundout by Mathew Ward to tie the game in the ninth, and Patrick Tangen got three quick outs to send the game to extra innings.

In the top of the 10th, Cory Bonstrom scored the go-ahead run on a passed ball, and the 57's were one out away from the win when Chase Taylor scored the tying run on a wild pitch by Trent Greek with the bases loaded. Smith scored on a single by Alexandre in the top of the 11th and Swift Current once again had two away in the bottom of the inning when Mike Kenney tied the game on a bases-loaded walk and Kendall Keller hit a walk-off single that scored Nate Bach for the winning run.

57's starter Adam Golby struck out five batters and allowed two earned runs over 5.1 innings and Greek took the loss in relief. Zander Oudie-Senger was the winning pitcher for Regina.

Swift Current is now 13-12, but are still four games behind East-Division leading Moose Jaw after the Miller Express lost 9-3 to Weyburn in other WCBL action Wednesday night. The 57's host the Beavers in their only home game of the long weekend Thursday night at 7:05pm from Mitchell Field.
