The Swift Current 57's started a two-game homestand with Lethbridge by dropping an 8-1 decision to the Bulls on Tuesday night.

Tejean Smith went two-for-four and drove in Swift Current's only run on an RBI single that scored Cory Bonstrom in the 5th inning. Justin Barnes also went two-for-four in the ball game while Bonstrom, Hayden Cooper, and Mathew Ward each had a base hit.

Brad Goodwin hit a two-run home run as part of a three-run third inning for Lethbridge and the Bulls picked up three more runs in the eighth to blow the game open.

Grayden Stauffer struck out four batters and allowed four earned runs over 6.2 innings to take the loss. Weston Siefken pitched six innings and allowed just one run to pick up the win on the mound for Lethbridge.

The 57's fall to 11-7 and fall out of the WCBL's East Division lead with Moose Jaw picking up a 4-3 win over the Regina Red Sox. The Miller Express are a game up on Swift Current at 12-6.

The 57's host the Bulls in the rematch Wednesday night at 7:05pm from Mitchell Field.
