The Swift Current 57's suffered their first loss of the season tonight in the Queen City to the Regina Red Sox in a rain-shortened game.

Regina plated four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to complete a 4-3 comeback win before the game was halted after the top of the fifth inning.

The 57's jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, scoring twice in the top of the first inning. Swift Current right fielder Luke Addison scored Carter Hinds with a single to left field. Ethan Murdoch scored the second run of the inning when he capitalized on an error by the catcher.

57's shortstop Ethan Gonzalez hit a triple in the top of the fourth inning and was driven home on a sac fly by first baseman Nolan Lingley pushing the lead to 3-0.

Regina's four runs in the bottom half of the inning came via four singles, one walk, one passed ball, and a stolen base.

Jakob Brown pitched all four innings for Swift Current in the loss allowing four earned runs while striking out four batters.

The 1-1 57's will travel to Medicine Hat tomorrow to play the 0-2 Mavericks with the first pitch at 2:05 p.m. from Athletic Park.
