The Swift Current 57's won their fourth game in a row, and their ninth game against Weyburn this season, in a 16-9 victory over the Beavers at Mitchell Field on Sunday.

The 57's had 19 hits as a team with Mathew Ward leading the way, going 3-for-5 with five runs batted in. He hit an RBI single to bring home Thomas Collins in the first inning, a two-run double as part of an 8-run fourth inning and drove in two more runs as the 57's put up six in the eighth inning.

Justin Barnes and Logan Grant also hit two-run singles in the fourth inning, Thomas Collins brought home two runs as he reached on a fielding error in the eighth inning, and Dylan Coty wrapped up the scoring with a two-run single of his own in the eighth. Owen Stevenson and Nick Chavez also had an RBI each.

Brandon Byler struck out four batters over 5.2 innings to get the win on the mound, and Anthony Porcellato took the loss for Weyburn, who had home runs from Patryk Hernandez and Will Baker in the game.

The 57's improve to 22-23 and continue their homestand tonight when they host the East Division-leading Moose Jaw Miller Express tonight at 7:05pm from Mitchell Field.
