The Swift Current 57’s return after a two-day break to host the Regina Red Sox tonight at Mitchell Field.

The 57’s beat the Red Sox 8-1 in their season opener last Friday before falling 4-3 in a rain-shortened contest in the Queen City on Saturday. Swift Current then picked up a 15-9 victory in Medicine Hat on Sunday.

First pitch is at 7:05pm.

In the WCBL on Tuesday night, Moose Jaw edged Regina 4-3, Medicine Hat beat Weyburn 13-7, Brooks hammered Fort McMurray 15-2 and Okotoks got by Sylvan Lake 3-2. Other action tonight has Fort McMurray visiting Okotoks and the Mavericks back in Weyburn.

Kikuchi strikes out four as Jays beat Brewers

Yusei Kikuchi had four strikeouts to snap a three-start winless streak as the Toronto Blue Jays beat Milwaukee 7-2 Tuesday night at Rogers Centre. Vladimir Guererro Jr. and Alejandro Kirk both had three hits and Whit Merrifield drove in a couple of runs.

The series continues tonight with Alek Manoah starting for the Jays against Julio Teheran.

Petes stay alive at Memorial Cup

The Peterborough Petes avoided elimination at the Memorial Cup with a 4-2 win over the first-place Quebec Remparts Tuesday night in Kamloops.

The win forces a tie-breaker on Thursday with the Petes taking on the loser of tonight’s game between the host Blazers and Seattle Thunderbirds. Quebec is already in Sunday’s final.
