It's a special promotion celebrating the beautiful gardens in Eastend.

Eastend Communities in Bloom once again took part in the Miracle-Gro Best Garden Contest and invited residents to nominate their favorite garden spots.

There were three categories that included Most Colorful, Vegetable Garden and Deer Resistant, and the top two winners in each category received prizes.

The prize package includes a Best Garden sign, some Miracle-Gro product, and a congratulatory letter.

Winners in the Most Colorful Garden category were Mae Gleim and Audrey Taylor.

In the Vegetable Garden category the winners were Duane and Ella Bristow and Marnie MacRae.

And winners in the Deer Resistant Garden category were Robert Gebhard and Alan Howard.
