Two Saskatchewan RCMP Constables shot and wounded July 7th, have died of their injuries. 29-year-old Constable Robin Cameron and 26-year-old Constable Marc Bourdages had been responding to a domestic dispute near Spiritwood. They suffered gunshot wounds in an ensuing high-speed chase. Both had been in serious condition in hospital in Saskatoon ever since. The RCMP and their families held a news conference to confirm the news, and to thank the medical staff that treated the two officers. RCMP Assistance Commissioner, Daryl McFadden, said these two officers jut wanted to make a difference. Saskatchewan Premier Lorne Calvert says the two were heroes. Police are still looking for 41-year-old Curtis Dagenais, but aren’t ruling out the possibility he may have killed himself.
