In the January 26 COVID-19 update from the Saskatchewan Health Authority another 1,194 new cases have been confirmed in the province.

Southwestern Saskatchewan accounts for 28 of those new cases,  with 5 reported in South West subzone 1, and 23 reported in South West subzone 2.

Currently, the two subzones account for 356 of the province's 12,448 active cases, with 60 in South West subzone 1, and 296 in South West subzone 2.

There have been 6 new deaths reported today, 2 of those in the South West zone, raising the provincial death toll to 983.

There are 315 people in the hospital in the province - 282 receiving inpatient care, and 33 in intensive care.

There were 1,846 COVID-19 vaccinations administered in Saskatchewan yesterday,40 of them in the South West zone.
