Donations have poured in this morning to the Pharmasave Radiothon for Healthcare live from the Elmwood Gold Club.

The total support towards the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation sits at $33,265 and counting on day one.

Ted Hanlon made a massive matching donation for the entirety of today up to $25,000 just after 8 a.m.

"Since I've been involved with the foundation, he's just been a wealth of knowledge and a great supporter of our team here," said Jim Dekowny, the executive director for the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation. "That's a big number for us, it helps us get to our $150,000 goal. This is the first time Ted's done this for us."

Living Sky Casino put forth a $5,000 matching donation. The City of Swift Current and W.W. Smith also had a matching hour, up to $2,500.

"I think this is a very important radiothon, and I think everyone in the southwest should pick up the phone [and make a donation]," Swift Current Mayor Al Bridal said. "Even though you haven't been to the hospital, I'm sure you've had a loved one or a friend... having that procedure done at home or close to home is so much better."

The funds raised today and tomorrow will help the non-profit organization purchase a blood analyzer and a PICC Line for the Cypress Regional Hospital.
