Swift Current’s beloved series of live music returns next week, as Blenders 2022-23 season sets the stage for an array of talents.

The Lyric Theatre in Swift Current is once again the venue for the performances, with a cozy setting where every seat is a good one.

Keely Williams is the assistant coordinator for the events, and said some resident favourites will be returning this season, with Leroy Stagger kicking things off next Thursday night, and Little Miss Higgins rocking the show on October 28.

Two local artists will be making an appearance including Jake Vaadeland, a self-taught musician with a unique bluegrass and 50s rockabilly style from Cut Knife and Katie Tupper, a neo-soul musician with a boundary-pushing, genre-defying sound from Saskatoon.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. with every show starting at 8:30 p.m., occurring once to twice per month until the end of April.

Folks can purchase tickets on Ticketmaster online, or at the Pharmasave post office in downtown Swift Current.

Williams suggested that anyone interested in attending should grab their passes before October 1, as the province will be implementing PST on events.

If bought before the rise in prices this fall, single show tickets range from $25 to $40, and a season pass for all ten shows can be snagged for just $280.
