Boomtown Days in Shaunavon has begun.

On Saturday morning make sure you take in the pancake breakfast.

Gail Wallis from the Southwest Chronic Disease Support Group said, "The breakfast will be on Saturday morning in the Co Op parking lot from 8 until 10:30. And we'll have pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee and water. It will be by donation."

President of the Chamber of Commerce, Garrett Thienes, talked about Saturday afternoon events on Center Street. "The gentleman from Swift Current with the Axe Throwing will come. We've had confirmation that The Beaver Tail guys will be out with their truck, a lot of local businesses are going to be set up in their stretch. We've got inflatables and some kids games."

Part of the fun over the weekend includes the Saturday night concert featuring the Johner Brothers.

Chamber President Garrett Thienes says Ty Hunter did such a great show last year they wanted to continue the tradition

"He was able to kind of help line up this show with the Johner Brothers to do a set for free in the community center park. We're gonna get the show going around 8, but we're encouraging people to show up around 7:30."

There's lots happening on Sunday to wrap up Boomtown Days as Thienes explained, "There will be a pancake breakfast at the old Alliance Church area, and Rock Solid will be handling that. They're gonna start that at 9 and go till about 10:30-10:45-ish. And then, at 11 we have our Interdenominational Worship Service."

Also there will be lots of entertainment throughout the afternoon and fun for the kids.
