Brad Wall

A small act of generosity can make all the difference during the holiday season.

That is one of the focuses in Premier Brad Wall's annual Christmas message.

"A Salvation Army kettle... can buy a gift for a child who is otherwise unlikely to get one," Wall said. "A food bank... can give a hamper for a family who would otherwise miss out on Christmas dinner."

Wall also told a story about how the light of the Christmas season helped inspire one man whose life was full of dark and misery to find hope for change.

"To him it suddently represented the hope he had been missing," Wall said. "The hope that just maybe one small bit of light could change him. That maybe there was a chance that the peace of hope of Christmas could penetrate his soul. I'm told he is quite a different man today."
