The Swift Current Broncos wrapped up the pre-Christmas schedule picking up just one of a possible four points over the weekend.

They lost 5-4 in the shootout to the Kootenay Ice on Friday, then dropped a 4-1 decision the next night in Lethbridge.

The Broncos finish the first 36 games with a 14-18-2-2 record and are 10th in the WHL's Eastern Conference, five points behind Calgary for the last playoff spot.

Assistant Coach Darren Evjen says they hope to improve in the second half, as some players gain more experience.

The Broncos return to action December 27th when they host the Raiders.
