The comeback kids were back in action last night as the Swift Current Broncos erased a 2-0 deficit against the Prince Albert Raiders, only to see the Raiders win the game in the sixth round of the shoot out.

Cole Holowenko earned first star honours as the Raiders goaltender stopped 40 of the 42 Swift Current shots, compared to only 23 for the Raiders. Brad Hoban and Graham Black had the Broncos goals while Dalton Reum added two assists.

Swift Current had Midget AAA Legionnaires forwards Jordan Wittman and Zac Mackay in the lineup due to injuries and illness. It was Wittman's WHL debut.

The Broncos return to action on Friday as they travel to Regina for another showdown with the Pats.

Note: On the injury front, the team heard yesterday that forward Adam Lowry will be in a cast for at least two months after having surgery performed on his fractured wrist.
