The Swift Current Broncos wrapped up 2011 with a 4-1 loss to Regina on the road Friday night.

Coda Gordon got the lone goal for the Broncos in the third period, while Shaunavon's Dyson Stevenson had a pair of goals for Regina, and Pats sniper Jordan Weal had a four-point night, with a goal and three assists.

Broncos goalie Jon Groenheyde made 27 saves in the loss, while Matt Hewitt of the Pats stopped 31 shots.

The game also had a special tribute to the four Broncos who were killed in a bus crash en route to a game in Regina 25 years ago Friday. Chris Mantyka, Scott Kruger, Trent Kresse and Brent Ruff were honoured, with former Bronco Tim Tisdale and former Pat Darren McKechnie, who were on their respective teams during the 1986-87 season, on hand for the ceremonial face-off.

The Broncos will hold their own tribute Sunday afternoon when they host Medicine Hat in a special 4:00pm start from the Credit Union iplex.
