A brand-new event will be making its way to Swift Current this weekend as the Broncos host their first ever Nickelodeon Night.

The event will make its debut after the partnership between the WHL, and RE/MAX was extended for the next three seasons.

In celebration, the WHL unveiled a brand-new charitable initiative which is driven by RE/MAX, partnering with Paramount Global, the parent company of Nickelodeon.

Executive Vice President of Business Operations for the Broncos, Nathan MacDonald, elaborated on the special event.

“It's a fun night, we're looking forward to,” he stated. “It's supported by RE/MAX and in support of the Children's Miracle Network. The main piece of it all is we have these really cool Sponge Bob Nickelodeon jerseys that we’ll be wearing, and then all the proceeds from the purchases of those after the game will go towards the Children's Miracle Network. Throughout the game we have some Sponge Bob themed activities, and then we'll also have scratch tickets for the first thousand people into the game where they can win prizes and discounts.”

The special jerseys feature Sponge Bob riding a seahorse like a bronco and are available to bid on, here, until January 15.

The special event will kick off at the InnovationPlex at 7:00 p.m. when the Broncos face off against the Prince George Cougars.
