The Swift Current Broncos got their top line going offensively again as they earned a split of their games against Kelowna and Kamloops this weekend.

They topped Kelowna 4-3 on Friday before losing 5-4 to Kamloops on Saturday.

After a recent scoring drought, Taylor Vause, Adam Lowry and Coda Gordon combined for 10 points over the 2 games. Lowry liked the way they were playing as a unit.

"I think we were just getting cylces and getting a few more bounces," Lowry said. "Getting comfortable playing against the other team's top lines... trying to work on our role defensively and I think the offence is starting to come as well."

Despite winning 3 of their last 4 games, the Broncos are still tied for ninth and five points behind Regina and Calgary for the final playoff spot.

Lowry wants to see them bring the same level of play to all sixty minutes that they are able to bring when in a hole.

"I think it's the desperation when we're down," Lowry said. "We need to be able to catch that desperation early on."

The Broncos visit the Kootenay Ice on Friday.
