More than 60 campers, families, and Lac Pelletier locals headed out to Darlings Beach last night to watch the fireworks and celebrate Canada Day.

The fireworks had been set for 9:30 p.m. but were delayed until around 10:15 p.m. due to the less-than-ideal weather conditions.

Penny Sherman enjoys watching the fireworks every year at Lac Pelletier.

"I think it's wonderful that people can get together," she said. "Although the weather didn't cooperate the whole day, it was great to be here."

The spectacle lasted for nearly twenty minutes and included an array of fireworks with varying colours and explosions.

"There were lots of people for the breakfast and there was lots of people enjoying the lake," said Sherman. "It was a wonderful weekend for the lake."
