It's a special promotion celebrating the beautiful gardens in Eastend.

Eastend Communities in Bloom is once again taking part in the Miracle-Gro Best Garden Contest and are inviting residents to nominate their favorite garden spots

Rosa Vazquez - Ring is the Eastend Tourism and Economic Development Officer and a member of the Communities in Bloom committee.

She said, "Last year we had six categories, and this time we have three, which is Vegetable Garden, Deer Resistant, and the Most Colorful. The two gardens in each category with the most nominations will get the prize."

The prize package includes a Best Garden sign, some Miracle-Gro product, and a congratulatory letter.

Nominations close August 12 with the winners announced on August 17.

Nomination forms can be picked up in Eastend at the Town Office, the Post Office, Hidden Valley FOODS, the Eastend Co Op, The Blue Dog, or you can send a message to Eastend Communities in Bloom Facebook page.
