The Swift Current and District Chamber of Commerce are preparing for a busy 2023 while reflecting on a very positive 2022.

Chamber Executive Director, Karla Wiens, said a lot of good things happened in Swift Current over the past year.

The entrepreneurial spirit is still alive and well in Swift Current and southwest Saskatchewan,” she elaborated. “The number of new business licenses issued every month was astounding. We had many milestones celebrated in 2022. Many new grand openings, which is fantastic for our small community.”

Wiens added that one of the highlights of this coming year will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of ‌ the SC-BEX awards.

“So, we've got farmer appreciation night, it's going to be coming up at the beginning of March,” she stated. “We have a Chamber Challenge Golf Tournament, and this year we are very pleased to be celebrating our 25th anniversary for SC-BEX. So all of these events provide networking opportunities and are designed to facilitate connections between various people within our entire region and community.
