The Swift Current Comprehensive High School Colts volleyball team captured their second-straight SHSAA 5A Boys Provincial Championship on their home floor on Saturday night.

The Colts rolled through pool play with a 4-0 record, without dropping a single set. They then defeated Regina's Campbell Collegiate two sets to one in the quarterfinal before beating Prince Albert St. Mary's in straight sets in the semi-final. Swift Current then won a thrilling final game against Regina's Martin Collegiate in three sets, 25-16, 20-25 and 17-15.

The SCCHS Ardens will look to make it a provincial volleyball sweep for Swift Current when they compete in 5A Girls provincials next weekend in Balgonie.

Girls' volleyball teams from Gull Lake, Maple Creek, Vanguard and Kyle also competed in provincial tournaments this weekend, with all four teams finishing with 0-4 records.

Fox Valley won the 1A Boys regional volleyball tournament in Eyebrow to qualify for provincials next weekend, and Frontier also earned a berth with their pool results along with Kincaid and Beechy.
