The town of Eastend will be holding their community cleanup this Friday May 13 from 5 until 8 p.m., Saturday May 14 from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., and Sunday May 15 from 9 a.m. until noon.

Residents of the community are encouraged to drop off their items free of charge at the Campground Ball Diamonds.

They will not be accepting tires or batteries this year.

Please dispose of goods in the designated labelled bins.

They will be accepting Municipal Solid Waste (household garbage), scrap iron, appliances, white metal, barbed wire (must be rolled up), Creosote lumber (prior notification required), painted wood, compost, concrete, asphalt, and shingles.

Also the Transfer Station will be open Saturday May 14 from ten a.m. until noon, and one until five p.m.  There they will be accepting tree branches, leaves, grass clippings and pruning, clean untreated wood, unpainted pallets, and unpainted boards.

Paint and electronics should be taken to Sarcan.

Non-allowable materials include batteries, asbestos, brake pots, hazardous waste, pesticide containers, tires, pressure tanks (propane bottle, sprayfoam bottles etc.), all liquids including sewage/waste water, fuels, oil including  cooking oil, etc., dead animals including SRM, "hot" loads, burning barrels, grain bags (recycle), oilfield liners (heavy plastic), oilfield black plastic pipeline pipe.
