The excitement continues to build as Swift Current gets ready to welcome Frontier Days back to the community.

Everything gets going on June 29 with the WW Smith Insurance kick-off pancake breakfast at Market Square with the opening ceremonies and the burning of the brand at 7:30am. Breakfast is $5 per plate with the proceeds supporting the Canadian Mental Health Association Swift Current Branch.

Local businesses can get into the Frontier Days spirit by letting their employees wear jeans or their best western wear to work for the week of Frontier Days for "Jeans for Teens". Those wanting to take part can make a $5 donation with the proceeds supporting programs at the Center.

Tickets are also still available for all the grandstand events; The Reklaws on June 30, Jade Eagleson on July 1, and the Appetite for Destruction Demolition Derby on July 2, as well as the CCA Rodeo at the Magnus Newland Arena on June 30, July 1, and July 2. Platinum Passes are also still available for $125 which includes gate admission and tickets to all of the grandstand shows and rodeo performances. The tickets and platinum passes are all available at the Ag & Ex office, Pharmasave, or online. Also, the ever-popular WeRide passes, which include gate admission and unlimited rides on the midway for one day, are now available for $45 at the Innovation Credit Union main branch in Swift Current and the Ag & Ex office.

Finally, entries are still being accepted for the Frontier Days Parade on Canada Day which will be back on the traditional route through Swift Current this year. More information and the application form can be found here.
