In the January 31 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 736 new confirmed cases of the virus  in the province.

Of those 736 new confirmed cases there are 17 in the South West zone - 5 in South West subzone 1, and 12 in South West subzone 2.

That brings the provincial total number of cases to 118, 606, of which 12,208 are considered active.

There are 363 active cases in the South West zone - 84 in South West subzone 1, and 279 in South  West subzone 2.

There have been 2 new deaths reported, neither in the South West zone, bringing the provincial total number of deaths to 992.

There are 1,258 recoveries reported, 46 of those in the South West zone, bringing the provincial total number of recoveries to 105,406.

There are 363 people in the hospital - 321 receiving inpatient care, and 42 in intensive care.

Of the 321 inpatient hospitalizations, 118 are a COVID-19 related illness, 165 are incidental COVID-19 infections, and 38 have not yet been determined.

Of the 41 patients in intensive care, 33 are for COVID-19 related illnesses, and 8 are for incidental COVID-19 infections. There is 1 resident in PICU/NICU for COVID-19 related illness.

Yesterday there were 1,431 COVID-19 vaccinations administered, 36 of those in the South West zone.
