A male was located by RCMP officers deceased inside a residence in Langham around 11:40 a.m.

The residence was on fire earlier in the day.

It is believed that the deceased person is Justin Heimbecker, but this cannot be confirmed at this time.

Police believe that there is no further risk to the public.

Shelter in place was cancelled around noon.

One person is dead after a shooting this morning in Langham.

Police have identified the suspect as Justin Heimbecker.

According to the RCMP, he has brown eyes and stands at 6-foot-3.

It's unknown if he has access to a vehicle or not. 

 

Original Story at 8:11 a.m.

The Saskatchewan RCMP are responding to a shooting incident this morning in Langham.

According to a release, the suspect is a male, was last seen on foot, and is believed to be armed.

The whereabouts of the suspect is currently unknown by authorities.

RCMP urge anyone in the area to seek shelter immediately and close and lock doors and windows.

People in the area are asked not to disclose police coordinates or pick up hitchhikers either.
